 note = {We trially manufactured a picture processing board extracting the outlines of pictures. A picture of 512×512 pixels is horizontally divided into five blocks, and each of which is smoothed and differentiated by 3×3 square masks. The mask operations are applied in parallel by using one DSP for each block. The total processing time of 2.12s mainly consists of the time necessary to transfer the picture data between memories.},
