 note = {The poupose of this study was to clear the actual conditions of the attitudes, values, instructional abilities and thoughts of elementary school teachers concerning physical education and class of physical education of elementary school. This study was done by using elementary school teacher who attended the 1999 seminor for qualifying elementary school teachers in Yamanashi Prefecture. The seminor was held two times for the lecture of "Physical Education 1 : July 29-31", and "Physical Education 2 : August 9-11". The number of participants was forty three for "Physical Education 1" and thirty four "Physical Education 2". Thier attitude, values, instructional abilities and thoughts for physical education and class of physical education of elementary school were very poor, but finishing the 3 daysseminor, their final results rised. Almost of them did not write correctly the aim of physical eduction of elementary school set by a course of study of Japanese Ministry of Educationbefore the seminor. In a sense, many elementary school teachers did not recognize the essential qualities of physical education of elementary school. If, the teachers of elementary school made the great efforts to understand the essential qualities of physical education of elementary school and had a good class of physical education in line with a course of study of Japanese Ministry of Education, many cheerful, high-sprited elementary school boys and girls might be born from their class of physical education. Consequently, it is insisted that this kind of seminor should be held frequently ont only at the level of prefecture but also at the level of cities, towns and villages. And teachers themselves should level up their qualities of teaching physical education of elementary school.},
