It is necessary to understand and account for these, before designing a course to successfully teach students the skills needed to be successful in Debate. The first step is to understand the basic philosophical differences between Japan and the west. The second step is to look at specific philosophers that had a significant impact on the development of political and educational systems in Japan and the west. The Greek philosophers Plato, Socrates and Aristotle form the basis of western ideas. The French philosopher Rosseau refined this thinking. The Transcendentalists Emerson and Thoreau further developed the ideas. Ghandi and Martin Luther King also had important impacts on the thinking of the west. Japanese philosophy has its roots in Confucianism and Shinto. Buddhism and Legalism later refined the philosophical basis of Japan's educational and political systems.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_2_full_name_24":{"attribute_name":"著者名(別表記)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"3219","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"クラウジア, ポール","nameLang":"ja"}]},{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"3220","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"長瀬, 慶來","nameLang":"ja"}]}]},"item_2_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.34429/00000523","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_2_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"山梨大学教育人間科学部附属教育実践総合センター","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_2_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"NCID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA11414565","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_2_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1881-6169","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_2_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-02-27"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"j17_19-24.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"j17_19-24.pdf","objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://yamanashi.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/530/files/j17_19-24.pdf"},"version_id":"77a5b00f-a578-42ed-8634-ab8f8b392d56"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Debate","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Teaching","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Social Contract","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Civil Disobedience","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Meritocracy","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Teaching debate in Japan : part one","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Teaching debate in Japan : part one","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"2","owner":"5","path":["78"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2019-11-06"},"publish_date":"2019-11-06","publish_status":"0","recid":"530","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Teaching debate in Japan : part one"],"weko_creator_id":"5","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-10-11T05:31:09.615252+00:00"}
