Analysis of the survey data disclosed the following trends. 1. In answer to what images the subjects had of deception in general, they could be categorized into the following four types; (1) those who considered deception as a vice, (2) those who took an affirmative view of deception, though passively, (3) those who viewed deception as a necessary evil and (4) those who argued on the general concept of deception. 2. When analyzed from the relation between the images of deception and lie scale, the lie scale score was high in women who considered deception as a vice. 3. The nature of deception could be divided into 12 patterns. Deceptions used for self-defense amounted to 29% and those invented speciously amounted to l6%. The results indicated that the characteristics of the personal relation of each subject could be outlined by analysis of the parties on whom deception was placed and the patterns of deception.}, pages = {57--68}, title = {対人関係におけるdeception(嘘)}, volume = {10}, year = {1993} }
