A study is made about aquatic environment of Kofu city including effectiveness of the constructed sewerage system using water quality data which the authors obtained for the last 15 years. The main objective of the study is to find out an overall tendency of water quality. Figures are presented which allow finding tendency of a long term water quality variation in terms of both sampling stations and water quality items. The figures are like multivariation graphs. The figures indicate that water quality does not change noticeably at all stations and it becomes worse toward downstream in the Ara River for the last 15 years and that water quality improvement is observed at two stations in the upper part of the Nigori River these years. The figures also suggest that construction of the sewerage system is helpfull for preventing water quality deterioration caused by domestic sewage. |
